Well, that was something completely different!

FallGymAs I was walking my scheduled three miles on a treadmill at the gym, I heard a couple of people yell for help.

One of the workers ran to the far end of the tread climbers followed by more people.

At my end, we had no idea what was going on, and we started trying to figure it out.

“Maybe an older person fell off and struck her head?”

“Maybe someone passed out?”

After what seemed like a long time, THREE emergency vehicles showed up.  Some of the same guys who work out at the gym, headed for the downed person.

It took another long time, and the patron was put on a stretcher and taken out.

He was alert, with no sign of blood from a fall.  He was much younger than me (I’m 69) and in much better shape.

When I was done with my workout, I asked an employee.  The guy had a seizure.

Fortunately, the man’s step-mother had alerted the staff, so they were not caught off guard.  In fact he had even attended a special class.

I hope he is okay.
