The bio from AGT says, “Emil, age 16, and Dariel, age 14, are making a name for themselves as cello virtuosos by transcending the barriers of the classical cello. The brothers have been studying the cello since the age of four under the guidance of their grandfather, Leonid Rubanchik. Although their background is in classical music, they are very excited to try new genres and sounds. America’s Got Talent is their favorite TV show. When not playing the cello, Emil is a sophomore in college on full scholarship, and Dariel is an honors high school student. Both Emil and Dariel are second-degree black belts in martial arts.”
