Funniest thing you will read all day.
1999 – while in the emergency room, my heart stops. But I keep talking!!!!!!
Today – I had to replace the battery in my car – $130
(Also had to replace my glasses – close to $500, but that is another story)
When I got home from the gym, one of my two smoke alarms was beeping. Not a steady beep, just an annoying chirp to let me know I needed to change the battery.
I took the battery OUT of the alarm so it would SHUT UP!
Like me in 1999, the alarm just kept on talking, even without its battery (heart)!
Had to walk to a local Dollar General for a new battery – $2
